Write On! 90-Day Challenge: Let’s Do This Together

What if you could write 60,000 words—or make serious progress on your dream project—in just three months? The key to achieving this goal is to build a habit of writing regularly. Sounds impossible? It’s not. It’s math. And it’s about to get a whole lot more fun.

This October, I’m kicking off the Write On! 90-Day Challenge—a community-powered push to get words on the page, no matter what you’re writing. A novel. A memoir. Blog posts. Journaling. Song lyrics. A screenplay about a dog who secretly runs for mayor. (Hey, no judgment. If it gets you writing, it counts.) The aim is to help you establish a consistent writing habit you can build upon.

Here’s how it works to build a writing habit:

  • Pick your goal. Maybe it’s 60,000 words like me. Maybe it’s 30,000. Maybe it’s just “I want to journal every morning without checking Instagram first.” Your challenge, your choice.
  • Do the math. Our approach helps you build that consistent writing habit by taking your word count (or journaling time) and dividing it by three months. Then divide it by your writing days each month. Suddenly, the big scary number shrinks down to something bite-sized. (Example: 60,000 words ÷ 90 days = 667 words a day. Totally doable.)
  • Track it. Use your Write Track Planner to schedule writing days, block out “life happens” days, and keep tabs on your progress. There’s even space for little celebrations when you hit milestones—because trust me, you’re going to want to high-five yourself often as you build towards your writing goals.
  • Stay accountable. We’ll cheer each other on over on Instagram using our very own hashtag: #WriteOnTrack90. (Go ahead, click it. You won’t find it anywhere else—it’s ours.) Share your progress, your frustrations, your triumphs, and your coffee mug collection.

The best part? You won’t be doing this alone. Writing can feel solitary, but with a community cheering you on, those words add up faster than you think and help to build a solid habit of writing.

So grab The Write Track Planner (I designed it specifically for habit-building productivity in 90 days), your favorite pen, and maybe a bribe-worthy snack stash, and get ready. October 1st, we begin. Ninety days later, you’ll look back and see pages filled, projects moving forward, and momentum that carries you straight into the new year as you successfully build a writing habit that lasts.

This is your season to write. Ready to embrace writing as a consistent habit you can build easily and maintain?
